Both are needed.
It is important
to read the Word
and feed our minds
with truth
and sound doctrine.
But we also need
the ministry of the Holy Spirit,
for He alone can take the Word
and penetrate our hearts with it,
bring it to life in us,
and make it burn in us
as He reveals and illuminates
Christ Himself
to our innermost being.
